Originally designed by Billy Bell Jr., River Ridge opened in 1986 and has been changing and improving ever since. Today, the course offers golfers of all skill levels a challenge, with yardages from 5,362 to 6,777. But now it is changing again!

Since its inception, River Ridge has rebuilt the first nine holes and every sand trap on the course and installed a fourth set of tees. In 2004, it opened the Victoria Lakes course with nine new holes, which operates as a stand-alone nine out of a temporary pro shop located off Victoria Avenue.

The original Vineyard course at River Ridge is noted for its magnificent bent grass and Poa Annua greens. Laid out over 230 acres of rolling, open terrain, the Vineyard course has the feel of Scottish Links. With low roughs, the course looks wide open, but it demands accuracy and good putting to score well.

The new Victoria Lakes course features pure bent grass greens and Greg Norman hybrid bermuda fairways. Like the Vineyard course, Victoria Lakes features over eight acres of water. Construction on the final nine holes began in 2005, and by mid 2008, River Ridge will have 36 holes operating out of its original clubhouse.

In addition to the superb layout and playing conditions, River Ridge offers all the amenities. The panoramic setting is a favorite for wedding parties and other special events, which the professional banquet staff serves with pleasure. The pro shop carries the top-end lines, and the learning center features all the major club fitting systems. PGA professionals offer group and individual lessons on the all-grass driving range, and dedicated instructors provide a range of programs for juniors. Tournaments and advanced tee times are welcomed.
